  • Condition: This cup is in very good to excellent condition with no dents, good rims, crisp beading and good marks. There is just some extremely light scratching, mostly from polishing, and some persistent tarnish inside the bottom rim on interior of cup.

    Description

    This Wakefield Scearce mint julep cup is for the shortened 2nd administration of Richard Nixon.
    The cup is 3 3/4" tall, with a diameter at top of 3" and tapering to a bottom diameter of 2 1/2".  The cup weighs 145 grams.  The cup has a rolled band at top and bottom, with a parallel band of beading, then another raised band.
    Marked on the bottom:  Mark J Scearce, Shelbyville, Kentucky; and for sterling; also with an eagle within a square and the initials RMN and II.
