Antique Shaker Community sewing box
1. found this in home here in NH, not far from the Shaker Canterbury Community
2. a very unusual item, have not seen another
3. over all good condition but not perfect
4. inside is very good
5. clasp works well
6. leather is worn on outside, see photos
7. back leather hinge is cracked, still attahed but cracked
8. small dent in bottom
9, top is lightly padded under the leather
10. silk lining is good
11. pin cushion is attached to the side
12. emery is leather bound and attached by string
13. thimble holder is leather and attached
14. needle holder is also attached
15. leather band to hold scissors or awls
16. included the three wooden spools of thread and some pins
approximate measurements
1. 8.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 in. deep
