  • Condition: Very good used condition. I don't think these were used much but somewhere along the line, perhaps in storage, 2 of the goblets acquired a ding/dent and 5 of the cordials are out of round at the top rim. The gold wash on the insides of the cordials is intact. Please see all pictures.

    Description

    This listing is for a set of 12 antique hand-made pure silver stemmed cordials made in Japan.  There are three different designs - one of chickens, one of cranes, and one of trees - 4 goblets in each design.
    They have 3 hallmarks on the bottom - one is the pure silver mark (Jungin) which is equal to 99% silver (sterling is 92.5% silver).  The other large mark is likely the maker's mark.  I do not know what the mark inside the diamond would be.
    The Jungin mark was used from 1868 - 1912.
    These goblets are 3.5" tall and 1 5/8" in diameter.  Total weight is 583.5 grams ( 18.82 troy ounces).
    Very good used condition.  I don't think these were used much but somewhere along the line, perhaps in storage, 2 of the goblets acquired a ding/dent and 5 of the cordials are out of round at the top rim.   A silversmith should be able to correct these issues fairly easily and at a nominal fee.   The gold wash on the insides of the cordials is intact.  Please see all pictures.  T
