Ornate Antique Coin Silver Cup Stebbins & Co Little Beauty Baby Child c 1835

You are bidding on a charming silver cup, about 2 7/8" tall, most likely coin silver. Coin silver is a 19th Century term referring to silver goblets, bowls, trays and flatware containing about 900 parts silver to 100 parts copper. This particular piece weighs 75 grams or 2.6 oz.
Stebbins & Co, the silversmith of this cup operated in the early to mid-1800s on Broadway. The design is a charming flower and leaf surrounding the engraved words, "Little Beauty." Condition is very good on the 170-year-old piece with one crease to the right of the handle, otherwise only light scratches and scuffs. A good clean and polish could improve most of this. A lovely example of this sort of work.
