This listing is for a lovely Sterling Silver 2-handled cup made by Gorham for the Metropolitan Museum as a reproduction of a 17th Century cup made by Jacob Boelen (1657-1729). The cup has a shallow round body with two rope-type handles which was the style of cups used during the 17th-early 18th Century. Marked are the base with the Gorham trademark stamp and "Sterling". Also engraved on bottom "Metropolitan Museum Reproduction, Jacob
Boelen, New York, About 1690, Gorham."
Measures 1 1/4" high (at rim), 1 5/8" high (at handles) with a 4" diameter top. Weighs 95 grams.
This nice silver cup is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
