    Description

    This cup, one in a series by the Louisville retailer and jeweler Merkley Kendrick, features the winner of the Kentucky Derby, and the year of the race, engraved on it's bottom.  In this case, the cup is marked for the 1980 winner Genuine Risk
    This julep cup is 3 1/2" tall and 2 7/8" in diameter at the top and 2 3/8" in diameter at the base.  Heavier than many cups, this one weighs 157 grams, or just over 5 troy ounces.
    This cup has three bands of decoration at the top and bottom rims.
    On the bottom, it is marked for Merkley Kendrick, since 1832, Genuine Risk '80, and sterling.
