GORHAM LARGE STERLING CUP BEAUTIFULLY ENGRAVED "ARTHUR", 1900 DATE BELL MARK

Description

Large sterling silver cup with hollow,
organically modeled
handle, broadly hand engraved in script on the body face "Arthur".  The cup weighs 6.81 troy ounces, and measures 3 5/8 inches high and 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the opening and 2 7/8 inches in diameter at the base.  Marked on the base with Gorham's trademark and "Sterling  A2239" and the date mark, a bell for 1900.  There are tiny nicks and scratches overall, a few super shallow dings on the body around the monogram, a 1/2 inch flat dent to the outside face of the upper handle, another 1/16 inch
ding at the top of the handle,
and several tiny file marks on the foot, otherwise in good, very solid, antique condition.
