    Description

I am listing a collection of silver chatelaine and table items as seen in the last photo so please see my other offerings and check back!
    ABOUT:
Elegant footed egg cup with a blank applied shield
    cartouche
, paired with a small spoon. No monograms on either piece.  The egg cup is solid silver and I acquired it in Europe.  The spoon is sterling silver and is American.  Nice set with a classic design that could work for any traditional to mid century to modern table.  Besides holding a cocktail or an egg, it could also be used to hold condiments, butter, etc. at tea time or as part of a beautiful table setting.
    NO MONOGRAMS.
    HALLMARKS:
The egg cup is marked 800 for solid silver content.  It also has a maker's mark I could not identify.  It is also stamped with the swan hallmark for silver items imported into France that meet the manufactured standards.  You'll also see a mark on the base of the cup which is not a ding or dent, it is again the swan hallmark.  The spoon is marked Sterling with no maker's mark.
    CONDITION DETAILS:
In estate condition considering age but seems in better condition than most.  2-3 of the shallowest impressions to the egg cup but no deep dents or sharp pin dings.  The rim and base of the egg cup and the spoon are still perfectly formed.   Some surface wear and scratching from use and polish over the years to both pieces.
But as with all my estate items -
Please see photos closely as this is not a mint condition item.
    MEASUREMENTS:
Cup measures 1 3/4 inches diameter from rim to rim, It is 2 3/4 inches tall.  Spoon is 4 inches long.  Weighs 33 grams combined according to my little digital scale.
Thanks for stopping by my store!
