    Description

    First Aid to Animals Merit Badge, Cut-Down, Hand Crimped -
    Type AA (Issued in this type between 1911 - 1919).  As was common in the teens, this badge has been cut down from the original square format with the extra cloth being hand crimped on back as shown in scan.  This merit badge began with the all white dog on golden cross design in 1911.  Within the first decade of production several varieties exists (Type AA).
    This unique version has a large bandage front leg and very thick large golden cross.
    In 1969 the designed changed to include a red-maroon background.  In 1973 this badge was merged into the new Veterinary Science badge.  Used and sewn condition.  Shipping & Handling are Free within USA!
