While this is intended for Christmas, I feel like there is a lot of potential with this cute mailbox. I could see it in a classroom or at a wedding or in a dramatic play center in a day care. You could easily stain it and paint it anything you want rather than colored in. If you prefer to color it and it does have a picture of Santa and the reindeer and snowflakes.
There is a slot for letters to go in on one side and on the other side is a hinge to open up so you can retrieve the letters. it also comes with a flag which can be attached to put up and down.
