Bali Makassar Ebony Statue 16.5" tall 1940's very rare. Flute player.. up for your consideration this fine rare makassar eboney flute player with his son. Measures just under 17" tall and 3.5 lb. The vulnerable rare species of Makassar Ebony in this variant is only found on the island of Sulawesi Indonesia. It's a hard wood to work with and a endangered species. I originally purchased this work at a high end Antique Shop in Bellaire Houston. It is expected to continue to go up in value for years to come. Their is a fine crack in the babies back.
