This is a very beautiful authentic 19th century antique Burmese Mandalay standing Buddha monk statue, in wood and gold leaf.

In our view, this authentic antique was very likely originally manufactured in the 19th century and in Burma.
In addition to being referred to as a Buddha monk statue, these type of 19th century antique wood Burmese Mandalay statues are also sometimes referred to as Buddha attendant statues or Buddha disciple statues.
As the photographs show, gold leaf was utilized in the 19th century decoration and finishing of this Buddha disciple statue.

This antique Buddha disciple statue measures approximately 9-3/4” inches tall not including the wood stand, approximately 3-1/4” inches wide at its widest point not including the wood stand, and approximately 2-3/4” inches deep not including the wood stand.
