Antique 19th C Papier Mache & Gold Gilt Chinoiserie Sewing Box w/Original Sewing Items.  The sewing items are so interesting - like a museum piece of History!  Circa 1870 English Papier Mache Lacquered Black with Gold Gilt Hand-Painted Chinoiserie of Chinese Figures in a garden and Floral Embellishments all around box. There are Many intricate divided storage compartments and a hidden compartment in drawer. The feet are wood claw feet.
The Interior of Box is in Excellent Condition with Original 1870 sewing implements.
Good Condition on Outside of Box, with More than average Wear of Gold Gilt on Top of Box. Shows wear and repairs on exterior appropriate to age. Lacquer Separation - See Photos. Some damage to claw feet.
The beautiful Box measures 12.5" W x 9" deep X 5" Tall
