but we think this is:
a small, authentic antique, circa
10th - 13th century
, bronze statue of a Hindu deity,
because of it's Dutch provenance it is likely to be of
Indo Javanese
origin
made by cire perdue / lost wax or sand casting
,
it represents:
Parvati
she is modeled sitting on a double throne or pedestal
in Vamar Dhaparyankasana
holding a lotus in het left hand and her right hand in Varadamudra - the gesture of granting favors
height: 4,5 cm / circa 1.7 inch - weight: 32 gr.
condition: very good, authentic wear - due to handling, touching and rubbing it for many many years
no missing parts, no cracks, no restoration
