    Description

1895 Sterling Silver Trophy Track Cup Cheam School British Engraved 102 Grams. This is a rare item. From 1895. Had a test of my jeweler and he said it was pure silver. There are no hallmarks on the piece. However the engraving quality and font type indicates that it is of the time period. The Cheam school Is a famous British preparatory school for boys Where Prince Charles was a student back in the day. The school is still in operation. This is from a track meet in 1895 and was awarded to the first place finisher A.F. Jones in the under 12 division. This is an exceedingly rare item and a piece of history. We’re far more than the silver continent. Seller is perfect ratings and has been on eBay for over 24 years. I ship fast and secure. Have fun!
The school started in Cheam, Surrey, and moved to the present site (previously a country house known as Beenham Court) on the borders of Hampshire and Berkshire, in 1934, when the Surrey area was developing from a quiet leafy village to a busy suburb. The school has occupied its present home with nearly 100 acres (40 ha) of grounds, since then. Just before the move, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was a pupil there. His son, Charles, Prince of Wales, was later a pupil at the school.
