Description
Antique Victorian Era Sterling Silver Trophy Chalice made by George Fisher of London.This Trophy has a monogram on the Front;
V.M.Y.C. Presented by C.F. Catchell, Esquire
Won by "GO" G.O. Jones Esquire
June 23rd 1874
This Chalice is approximately 7 1/8" Tall.
This Chalice weighs approximately 264.7 Grams.
This Chalice has English Hallmarks towards the top of the chalice within the design.
It has George Fisher's makers mark.
It has the standard Lion mark for .925 Sterling.
It has the London Mark uncrowned leopards head from 1822-Present.
It has a letter date mark "S" which dates this item from 1873.
It also has the Queen Victoria Duty mark.
On the bottom of this Chalice it is hand etched George Feildings....
This mark on the bottom is most likely an incorrect Inventory Mark from years ago.
This item is very old and will have minor surface scratches, and a bit of wear from being handled over the past 100+ years.
However this item is overall in excellent condition. PLEASE VIEW PHOTO'S!!!
